Summary Description
The Associate, Materials Management is responsible for the daily activities of the material inventory and shipping/receiving areas. Responsible for maintaining proper documentation such as material requests, inventory record logs, import and export and other controlled documents. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain.


  • Shipping and Receiving of finished goods and raw material items
  • Receive, stage, and process incoming cGxP and non-cGxP materials. This includes obtaining product certificates, updating logs, consumable inventory management system execution, quarantine and reject, labeling, and compliance related documentation
  • Maintain inventory levels of cGxP and non-cGxP raw materials, disposable supplies, clinical materials and finished good items
  • Responsible for goods receipt process in SAP business 1, for all cGxP, R&D materials
  • Manage international shipping and receiving of hazardous and biohazardous materials, including oversight of couriers, quotes, permitting, and customs documentation
  • Coordinates certified disposal and incineration of investigation product and finished product
  • Managing material requests to support manufacturing
  • Maintains clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards, customer and regulatory agencies


  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 + years material handling experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in cGxP supply chain, materials management for biopharmaceutical or medical device industry preferred
  • Experience with UPS World Ship and FedEx Power Ship
  • Strong knowledge of SAP / SAP B1 as well as Kanban systems
  • Excellent team player
  • Able to lift 70lbs
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time
